Terry’s Chocolate Orange Cheesecake
Merry Tibbs’ Eve everybody! I can’t believe that Christmas is just a few short days away. Only one more day of work until I get to relax with my loved ones during the merriest time of the year. My family celebrates with lots of delicious food and visits from family and friends, but my favourite part of the season is spoiling my loved ones with tons of presents. I’ve got tons of surprises up my sleeve. I won’t give too much away… But I’m not afraid to say that I am the ultimate gift-giver!
If you’ve been baking along with my countdown to Christmas, I hope you’ve enjoyed my favourite treats of the season. Today I’d like to set you up with a recipe that I’ve prepared for dessert on Christmas day. Every year, I get a Terry’s Chocolate Orange in my stocking. Normally I use this day to relax and visit family, but I started thinking about what I could do to make this Christmas classic into an amazing dessert that my whole family could enjoy. I turned it into a decadent cheesecake and I’d love to share the recipe so that your family can enjoy too!
I’m a self-proclaimed chocolate connoisseur. I always prefer dark chocolate because the fruitiness of the cocoa bean is such a unique taste to me. I chose to use Terry’s Dark Chocolate Orange in this cheesecake, but you can substitute for the Original or even the Toffee-flavoured if you’d like. I’m confident that it’ll be just as delicious!
I garnished my cheesecake with a few slices of the chocolate orange, along with some dark chocolate curls. I wanted to keep it simple but still elegant because the flavour is the spotlight for this cheesecake. Let me know what you come up with by tagging me through Instagram at @amandameghanbakes.
Enjoy your Christmas with your family and friends. I hope everybody is spoiled with presents, delicious food, and most importantly, lots of love and Christmas spirit. I can’t wait to share some new recipes with you in the new year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
