Mosaic Wit Reviews: Brewer's Advent Calendar 2018

On Tuesday, November 20, I made an impulse and slightly extravagant purchase. With visions of sub days dancing in my head and the sheer glee of saving 10% on student saver Tuesdays (I’ve found a loophole OK?), I loaded the Brewer's Advent Calendar 2018 into my cart at the NLC. My fellow Pint Pal was apprehensive, after all, $125 is a lot of beer to charge to an already in debt credit card, especially during the holiday season, but hey, it’s Christmas right?! (And there was another more expensive advent calendar to purchase so really I was being frugal).

We brought the box of twenty-four German beers home and eagerly awaited December 1. (Side note, with your chocolate calendars do you start at 1 and count up, or at 24 and count down? I always counted down since the calendars always said they were “Christmas Countdowns” I’m also a heathen so Advent, Schmadvent). Punch open a window and get a beer all leading up to Christmas! Naturally, I decided to review this advent calendar for The Racket and came up with a very intricate rating scale. If we liked the beer, it was a Christmas Treat. If we thought we wouldn’t like the beer but did, a Christmas Surprise. If we didn’t like the beer, it was a lump of coal. (Sometimes we went off the rails with these ratings).

So without further adieu, here we go!
